A Colorful, Traditional Sofreh Aghd to Match a Pastel Bridal Gown
Designing a Colorful, Traditional Sofreh Aghd for a Pastel-Inspired Wedding
Creating a Sofreh Aghd for a Persian wedding is a deeply meaningful task, combining tradition with personal style. I had the pleasure of designing a Sofreh Aghd for a bride who wanted a vibrant yet traditional spread, perfectly complementing her pastel pink and purple floral bridal gown. The challenge was to blend soft colors with traditional symbols while maintaining the essence of Persian culture.
The sofreh design featured a soft pastel palette—mainly light pinks, purples, and whites—harmonizing with the bride’s dress. Gold and silver accents were added for a touch of luxury, while traditional items like sugar, honey, and candles were carefully arranged to symbolize sweetness, prosperity, and light in the couple’s new life together.
Floral elements—including pink roses, lavender, and orchids—tied everything together, while Persian textiles brought texture and depth to the spread. The result was a stunning, ethereal Sofreh Aghd that felt both timeless and fresh, celebrating the couple’s love in the most beautiful way.
This design was a perfect example of how to create a meaningful, personalized wedding sofreh that stays true to Persian traditions while incorporating modern elegance.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, this breathtaking wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay blended the vibrant colors of a spring garden with the charm of a fall celebration. From the garden-inspired ceremony filled with a rainbow of florals to the Tuscan villa reception complete with a four-course meal and a traditional wedding cake adorned with bold red cherries, every detail was designed to create a dreamlike experience. With a cocktail hour by the ocean and a night of dancing, this wedding was a perfect fusion of elegance, romance, and coastal beauty.
